Stef has embodied what a true service professional is all about. As an EVS team lead, she is the first line of responsibility and accountability for the EVS team. She is dedicated, hard-working, and customer oriented. She has the difficult task as a work lead of ensuring the safety of our spaces both by cleaning and disinfecting herself and by ensuring that the staff follows suit. She truly leads her team by example and has shown herself to truly be a shining star in her department. In the past year, Stef has taken on multiple new responsibilities, including administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and creating the schedule for all shifts and all locations. She has also worked with the hospital’s medical waste vendor closely and has become the department resident expert on waste streams. With the challenging staffing situation, Stef frequently stays to help other shifts and assist wherever she is needed. Stef has also been recently accepted into our Emerging Leaders program at the hospital. Stef never says, “That’s not my job.”  She collaborates with all other departments and works diligently to ensure that the hospital delivers service excellence.
